This month brings big updates, and officially ticks off the last remaining tasks before we enter the Alpha stage!
If you scream in space, can anyone hear you? Well, now they can! VERZ now features an in-game chat panel, visible on the left panel on the NAV screen. Organize events or kick back and chat with fellow pilots from the convenience of your ship.
For more reasons to scream, enemies now shoot back. You can now battle enemies and have a taste of the fast-paced combat that VERZ has to offer. The bulk of our fine-tuning and balance changes in the future will likely revolve around this new combat.
In our April update we introduced movement to NPCs. This has been further refined, with NPCs patrolling areas, and protecting certain outposts. We hope that this can be used in future to lead to more interesting encounters with dynamic NPCs.
Expect news about increased testing recruitment in the coming weeks, as we launch into the Alpha stage of development. Our goals now primarily lie on fleshing out the existing sectors, adding more varieties of NPCs and areas for you to explore.
